Vintage! Second-hand haori, jackets for Japanese kimono.
 
A dynamic haori, full of life and which is as casual as it is elegant with its beautiful color palette in the tradition of Omeshi textiles , from Niigata prefecture, and which enjoyed incomparable success from their birth, in the Showa era. , in 1959. The green and ocher lamé threads are a tribute to the colors of nature and depict a pattern of Kusabana 草花, leaves and flowers ,  with a nice twirling movement.  But where are the flowers, you will say? Well, they are  weaved in the black silk of the haori that serves as a background for the vegetal motif made by the foliage of these flowers... But, a tribute is paid to flowers in the haura, the inner lining, where Jigami 地紙, sheets of pretty paper used for making fans are decorated with the flower motifs of the four seasons Shikinohana 四季節の花.   We see Botan the peony 牡丹, Kiku the chrysanthemum flower 菊, Ume the plum blossom 梅,  sakura the cherry blossom 桜 and kikyo 桔梗 the bellflower . There are also plant motifs such as the pine  tree matsu 松, the vine leaf Budonohappa ぶどうの葉っぱ, the maple leaf Kaede 楓 and the bamboo tree Take 竹,  all above gentle 波 waves that add some quiet movement to the scene.  This jacket is in excellent condition and you can wear it with no problem!
 
The haori, a jacket worn over a Japanese kimono, is perhaps THE Japanese garment that TABITABIYA fell in love with the most!
